A Sure-Fire (Really!) Weight Control Method

Weight control, permanent weight control, is never possible through diets or drugs alone. The secret is in conditioning the mind to make your body the way you consciously know it should be.

We all know that the key to weight control is to ingest only as many calories as your body needs. Or burn all the calories you ingest. Either way you are in stasis, as we used to say down on the farm, and you neither gain nor lose weight. To actually lose weight you have to create a deficit on the ingestion side of the equation and a surplus on the burning side; eat less than you burn, or burn more than you eat.

So far we are still in simple city. Everyone knows this. But here is the million dollar question...this is what you REALLY want to know...the REAL question about weight control: How do I actually make myself eat less and exercise more?
And here is the answer: by wanting to!

If you don't want to eat, you won't. If you want to exercise, you will. Period.

It all boils down to desire. Conscious desire.

Now comes the really tricky part: You cannot consciously control your conscious desires if there is subconscious resistance!

That's why willpower only works in some situations or relative to certain things. In issues that pertain to your preservation, protection, or procreation, your subconscious mind may have ideas of its own that are in direct contradiction to your conscious ideas. If that is the case you will not be able to carry through with your conscious ideas, no matter how strongly you wish otherwise.

If this were not the case, you would not be overweight. You would simply make up your mind to lose weight and keep it off, and you would do it. And isn't that exactly what you think you are going to do? Every day? You have this really strong desire to be lean and slender, look like a million bucks and able to wear anything, appear in a swim suit without shame, and so on. But every day you find yourself mired in the desire to eat whatever it is that is tempting you. You don't stop wanting to lose weight, you just happen to want those donuts at the moment.

The donuts win and guilt follows. "Okay, I'll never do that again and I'll start my diet tomorrow." You know the old saying: Tomorrow never comes. It is always today. Diets come and go. Gadgets and fads come and go. But nothing really changes. This vicious cycle can go on for years, a lifetime, and it leaves us yearning for a miracle.

Enter the miracle: Self hypnosis.

The intelligent and correct application of self hypnosis can make weight control possible where every other approach has failed. It does not depend upon willpower (which is the domination of the subconscious by the conscious and just is not going to happen). Instead it changes the subconscious mind, brings it into agreement with conscious desires. Once you are subconsciously motivated to lose weight and keep it off, you will.

Weight loss becomes as easy -- as mandatory -- as weight gain has been. You will be compelled to eat less, to eat smarter, and to exercise more. All without effort.

Wait a minute! Did I say, "without effort?" ("Uh oh," you're thinking. "Here comes the catch. There's always a catch.") Well, yes, there is a catch, and here it is: You will put in a lot of effort, but it will all be in learning and developing the skills of self hypnosis. There will be nothing unpleasant about the effort -- it's nothing compared to the effort and agony of trying to stick to a deprivation diet when all you really want to do it eat. And you will be developing skills and knowledge about yourself that you will use the rest of your life.
